John Bohane | Principal Architect and Urban Designer

John has been actively involved in the field of architecture and urban design for over 25 years. He is a strategic design thinker, an advocate for design quality and has won various awards for his designs.

During his career John has delivered a number of high-end residential projects, such as Mosman House (budget $10 million), Castlecrag house (budget $8million) and while working at Peter Stutchbury Architecture the Robin Boyd and Lesley Wilkinson awarded Lighthouse, and other awarded projects such as Invisible House and Foredune House.

 

A strong theme of sustainability underlies all the work done by John, for example, he was engaged by Stephen Collier Architects to manage a multi-site modular housing system with a 6 Green Star rating.

 

John has also taught and lectured in architecture at numerous universities, including the University of Sydney, the University of NSW, the University of Tasmania, the University of Newcastle and the University of Technology. John has also been on the Local Planning Panel for North Sydney Council and Sydney North Planning Panel for the State government.
